Thank You to the Sierra Leone Community - Kemoh Mansaray | kamisbee@gmail.com

2014 Executives of the Sierra Leone Community in Edmonton.

"I’d like to thank the entire Sierra Leone Community for choosing us and me in particular to lead this organization. Thanks to those who were able to come cast their vote or show their support and also to those who were not able to come due to unavoidable circumstances. We hope you will join us in our next meet because you opinion, your ideas, your experience count to move this community forward.

It is such an honor to be elected as your next president. I am humbled that you would place your faith and trust in me. This is a responsibility that I do not take lightly, and I will endeavor to represent you with the utmost transparency and boldness.

I would like to thank all those who would have like to run for this office but because they too have faith in me decided to step down . I would also like to thank The Electoral Committee especially the Chairlady of the committee Mrs. Mariama Nallo for volunteering to make this a success. Please join me in thanking them. Lastly, I would like to thank my family and friends for their unending support and specifically Iyesha and the kids for allowing me to take this opportunity to serve my community. Without their sacrifice I will not be accepting this honor. But most of all, thank you to the Sierra Leone Community for using your voice, your vote, to express your confidence in me. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you.

I come not only as your new president, but as one upon whom you have entrusted a grave responsibility.

It is a sobering thing, my fellow Sierra Leones, to be a servant of this great cause. We will try in our work to remember that the cause belongs not to us, but to you the people. The standard is not in the hands of you and me alone. It is carried by our country SL. We, me and my team will seek daily to profit from experience, to learn to do better as our task proceeds.

I will not promise it will be easy, we may not achieve all our goal in one term but together we will achieve grate things. Governments can err, Leaders do make mistakes, but I ask that you do not allow us to sink deep into these mistakes. Together we stand divided we will all fail. Please let me know where we are faulting and we will take action for we are accountable to you. We demand respect for for the offices we hold if not for the individuals holding them. We will do our best to live to the standards of these offices.

There is mysterious cycle in human events. To some generations much is given. Of other generations much is expected. This generation of Sierra Leoneans in Canada have a come together with destiny and much has been given to us and we will then say much is expected from you in terms of cooperation

I accept the commission you have tendered me. I join with you. I am enlisted for the duration of the challenges ahead.

Thank you once more for your support and faith in me."

Kemoh Mansaray

President
