"Foundation Rebuilding Through Education"
Please join us on Saturday, October 14, 2017 in Baltimore, MD for our 1st Annual Liberian Hope Benefit Concert featuring some of Liberia’s legendary artists.
We are proud to host this event because of the need to make a change in the history Liberian, PUTTING EDUCATION FIRST!
As human beings, we should concern ourselves with the question of whether the current levels of poverty and inequality really matter. The answer is they matter a great deal. Poverty is a significant and growing problem for Liberia, one that costs our economy hundreds of billions of dollars each year, and leaves poor families and individuals with a greatly reduced chance of achieving their dreams. Children raised in poverty today will grow up in circumstances that, the data tell us, will give them a small, if not negligible, chance of following a path that will lead them to a markedly better place than where they began.
Hope Valley International (HVI) wants to make an important contribution to these children who needs us most. We want to develop a broader and deeper understanding of the needs in Liberia, while achieving our mission, goal, and values to rebuilding the Republic of Liberia as the new Americo-Liberians. As an organization, our journey is quite simple, we want to utilize education as a tool to rebuilding our beloved nation. On the resource side, HVI seeks programs and funding mechanisms intended to disrupt the effects of poverty on educational outcomes.
In our effort to reduce poverty, HVI programs and activates such as this gives us a more nuanced picture of poverty in Liberia and in fact in the American society and the consequences it is having on both countries and how we can make significant contribution as local citizens. But first, we must ultimately continue to seek ways out for the children of Liberia. We thank you for supporting and joining us in this journey.
